-Worst of all, the author actually admits the failings of her book, by conceding that what women say - and what women do - are often different. Duh!

-As you read the book, you get the strange feeling that the author lives in a "different time" than we do now. The book is filled with hokey terms and outdated references - another clue as to why this "guys pickup guide" in useless.

-And that list of body-language signals, that are supposed to turn you into a beautiful-girl pickup magnet? Forget it! Almost EVERY guy already knows that when she "fluffs her hair", or "sticks out her chest" at you, she's interested. Duh!

But hold on - it gets worse.

Visit the author's website, and you'll see that she's asking people to give her "tips" for the topic of her latest book. (She's even paying for the ones she'll use.) Online Dating Sites tend to be very large, which makes them much more financially stable. (They tend to last a long time!)

Online Dating Sites give you lots of freebies, let you avoid many offline upfront dating costs (like expensive dates just to "get to know each other"), and let you get acquainted WITHOUT in-person "rejection". Plus they're targeted: Single Jews for instance, can find several big, reliable Online Dating Sites - with large numbers of Jewish women! Many successful Jewish couples nowadays, admit they would have never met if they hadn't used an online Jewish Dating Service.

But that doesn't mean you can just sign up and be swarmed by women! You WILL have great success with an Online Dating Site - far more than by using a Jewish Matchmaking service. But you have to know the Secrets to using Online Dating Sites.

Shyness - Tips For “Curing” Yours

(If you haven't yet, be sure to first read Jewish Matchmaking )

Ok. Let’s finish up your anti-shyness training. (As I said before, I ended up taking the “full tour” - from no girlfriends, to TOO MANY girlfriends! You can read all about that here on my jewish dating service blog - more on that later.)

There are a few points you need to know, before you start the Stepwise process:

1) When you see a woman walking towards you, or when you approach a woman: Don’t think. Act!

You know what you’re supposed to do, and you know it’s easy. Don’t hesitate and give yourself a chance to think about all the things that “could go wrong”. Just do it.

2) Once in a blue moon, you’ll get a “negative” response.

Nothing terrible. Just a scowl from some woman, who just learned that her boss passed her over for promotion, for some blond bimbo in the next cubicle.

Don’t let it get you down. A negative response is HER problem - not yours.

3) Only approach a woman, after you’ve made eye contact.

Always let her see you coming. If not, you might surprise her - and that is NEVER a good thing.

4) Don’t do too much, too fast.

Many guys, having tasted some success, try to move forward to quickly. In order to truly succeed, you have to postpone some of the rewards, and do the work first.

Think of this as simply learning a new skill. You need lots of practice, and you have to make sure you’ve mastered THIS level, before moving on to the NEXT level.

Finally, realize why this “volume approach” works: It’s much better to try to talk to two dozen women for 5 minutes each; than to try to talk to one woman for an hour. It’s easier to succeed with a simple 5-minute conversation, plus you’ll learn a lot more about women from having talked to 24 of them, than talking to one.

Pick-Up Women and Increase Your Confidence, Step By Step

You never grow out of shyness. Instead, you learn how to deal with it. (Curing Shyness is one reason I created my Jewish Matchmaking blog, to give people FREE dating and pickup-success information!)

But when trying to pickup girls, shyness is a “deal killer”. I went from painfully-shy to successful Pickup Artist. (Yes, I ended up taking the “full tour” - from no girlfriends, to TOO MANY girlfriends! You can read all about that here on my jewish dating service blog - more on that later.)

So to begin with, I had to overcome my shyness in approaching women. To do this, you work with one small, step at a time...

(Since this article is in widespread circulation, I’ll just provide a shortened version here. The second part is only available here on my blog.)

Step 0: Before you start, find somewhere with lots & lots of women, where you can choose the women to actually approach.

Step 1: For example, the mall. Walk around and smile at every woman who walks by you. Do nothing more. She’ll most likely smile back.

Purpose: You want to get comfortable looking her in the eye and making “contact”.

Step 2: For this step, add saying “Hi”. Again, nothing more, just that. She’ll most likely smile, or say “Hi” back.

Purpose: You want to get comfortable saying something to her, (no matter how small).

Step 3: Ask for directions. Again, nothing more. Ask her how to find one of the mall’s stores. She’ll most likely be very helpful.

Purpose: You want to get comfortable having a conversation with her, (no matter how small).

Step 4: Have a REAL conversation with her. This is where most guys start getting anxious. So to get around that, we choose “easy pickings” - employees! They MUST talk with you - it’s their Job. (You can talk about anything current: weather, the local sports team, current music, etc.)

Purpose: You want to keep a conversation going with her, for at least 3 minutes.

Step 5: Have a Personal conversation with her. Stick with store staff, but move the conversation towards something about Her. (Pick anything interesting about her: her clothes, jewelry, accessories, footwear, accent, makeup, hairstyle, etc.)

Purpose: You want to get comfortable, talking to her... about HER.

Note: Flattery is a BAD pickup technique - but it’s great for just practicing talking to her.

Step 6: Same as Step 4, but with random women.

Step 7: Same as Step 5, but with random women.

Doing any of the Steps, 20 times, will make it so easy, it’s boring! You’ll get restless to move on to a further Step.

Once you’re comfortable approaching her, you’re ready for more advanced “moves” - like getting her contact information, getting the first date, getting physical, etc. You need to know more about attitude, body language - and yes, even great pickup lines!
